Duties/Responsibilities of Position:

*Responsible for gaining new market share customers,
and growing existing installed accounts

*Responsible for accurate forecasting and closing
revenue through sales of licenses, maintenance,
services and education

*Work with alliance partners to maximize pipelines

Position Specific Competencies/Skills Required:

*Candidates must understand commercial business
challenges, IT organizations and the roles and
responsibilities of IT personnel

*Working within a team environment and an
atmosphere of open communication is a must

*History of selling to CIO's, CFO's and VP's of
IT is a must. Track record of pipeline growth,
revenue production, and solution sales is required

Experience/Education Required/Desired:

*Minimum of 5 years experience in technology sales
is required

*Relationships within all commercial vertical markets
across medium size businesses is a plus

*Knowledge of service management marketplace
is a plus

Duties/Responsibilities of Position:

*Be a key member of the sales team, co-ordinating
timely, as required to meet sales goals.

*Assist in Sales Closures at all levels of management
hierarchy where technical expertise is required.

*Be capable of presenting/demonstrating the product,
in line with customer/partner requirements.

*Liasing between sales, systems engineering, technical
support, consulting and training departments.

*Providing technical responses to RFP/RFI.

*Take active leadership in the resolution of customer
issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

*To have an understanding of the technical issues
surrounding the product combined with excellent
presentation and customer interaction skills.


Experience/Education Required/Desired:

*Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred

*3+ years related vendor experience (sales support,
training, etc.) in the client-server applications industry

*A solid understanding of sales processes and strategies,
particularly with regards to working with channels
(Value Added Resellers, OEMs, Systems Integrators)

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*Knowledge of Unix, Windows 95, Windows NT

*Knowledge of a major Database
(Sybase, Oracle, MS-SQL)

*Knowledge of client/server networking (TCP/Novell)

*Software development experience useful
